The Best Wedding Venues in Savannah Georgia

Bethesda Academy

Bethesda began as an orphanage and later morphed into what is today, a private school for boys. It is also the home to the historic chapel, Whitefield Chapel. Not only is it home to the historic chapel but it is located under beautiful oak trees, located off the marsh and has a road lined with oak trees… there is nothing more Savannah than that.

Bethesda’s Whitefield Chapel is the most popular chapel to get married in within the city of Savannah. With the historic feel, wooden church pews and herringbone brick floors it is just gorgeous.

Soho South

Soho was originally built as an automotive service station, giving the venue such a unique and quirky vibe. It is located in a great part of downtown, perfect access to the beautiful squares just a few steps away from the front doors.

Soho is not only known for its unique venue space but also the food. Originally Soho was a cafe open for brunch and has since morphed into an event venue with the promise to provide perfection in your dining menu. The food is oh so good.

Tybee Island Wedding Chapel

Tybee Island Wedding Chapel is one of only a few venues on Tybee. It hosts a custom built chapel on the top floor, ballroom on the bottom and a beautiful courtyard in the back.

It is the perfect all in one venue by the beach. We love that the venue is just a few minutes from the beach, perfect for an indoor wedding but sunset portraits on the beach.

The Perry Lane

Part of the Marriott Luxury Collection, the Perry Lane is a new addition to Savannah. If you are looking for a rooftop experience for your guests, the Perry Lane is a beautiful venue with a unique view off both of their rooftops.

We love that this venue has it all. Accommodations for your guests, an outdoor ceremony location and neutral ballroom that you can make it customize to your style. Not to mention it is located right in the center of downtown, a few blocks away from Forsyth Park but also a few steps away from Broughton Street.

The Mackey House

The Mackey House is that perfect southern wedding venue. The house is a colonial mansion with the classic wrap around porch after all. It includes several different venue locations for your ceremony, whether you prefer lakeside, the garden or for a more romantic feel the pavilion in front of their brick fireplace.

We love that this venue is all inclusive with getting ready spaces available for both bride and groom, a ceremony location and reception spot all in one place. It makes the logistics of the day so easy and seamless.

Red Gate Farms

On the same property as The Mackey House you will find Red Gate Farms. Their ceremony spot under the oak tree facing the water is one that just can’t be beat. They like the Mackey House also offer different venue options including the traditional barn, restored grainery, Belle Tower and the waterfront pavilion.

We love this venue for the vibe. If you are looking for that classic southern but also rustic country feel then Red Gate is the perfect spot for it!

Savannah Yacht Club

The Savannah Yacht Club has been around since 1869. Facing the Wilmington River, if you dreamed of getting married near the water, marsh and marina then you have to check out the Yacht Club.

We love the Yacht Club because of the gorgeous sunsets that take place here. It is the perfect place for sunset portraits and a beautiful view to say your vows.

St. John The Baptist Cathedral

St. John The Baptist Cathedral is one of those iconic places in Savannah that you just have to at least tour. If you are looking for a Catholic Church in Savannah to get married at, this is the one.

Ships of The Sea Maritime Museum

If you have dreams of getting married in the gardens look no further than Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum. You will literally get married in the gardens of the museum.

We love this venue because of its location and how close the ceremony and reception site are.

Wormsloe Plantation

One of the most known places in Savannah is Wormsloe Plantation. The Avenue of Oaks is an unforgettable place. This is the perfect venue for any nature lover.

We love Wormsloe because even on a bad day it is just simple and beautiful. It doesn’t require much for decoration, because the road of oak trees does everything for you.
