Nestled along the rugged central California coastline, Montaña de Oro State Park offers a magical blend of windswept cliffs, tidepools, and rocky beaches—making it a dreamy backdrop for engagement photos. In late February, with the soft light of an overcast day and the rhythmic sound of waves in the distance, we gathered for a styled session that was equal parts romantic and relaxed.
This session was brought to life by an incredible team of creatives during the Make Pretty Workshop hosted by @makeprettyworkshop and @mollymccauley_photo. With thoughtful direction, a touch of style, and a real couple, the vision came together seamlessly.
Styled But Natural
Our real couple, @anamaria.mitcham and @treymitcham, embodied effortless connection. Against the backdrop of crashing waves and earthy textures, their cozy wardrobe brought warmth to the cool coastal tones.
Ana Maria wore a chunky cream knit sweater from Topshop, paired with classic high-waisted Levi’s and delicate white strappy heels—adding just the right amount of polish to the relaxed, coastal vibe. Trey complemented her look in light wash jeans and a plaid overshirt from Wax London, layering texture and pattern that added depth without distraction. The styling felt authentic, like a couple wrapped in a weekend moment rather than a posed production—and that’s exactly the energy we aim for.
